The HopYacht 30 is designed to fit into 2 standard 40’ containers for shipping. To make loading and offloading straightforward the cabin and hull modules are mounted on special frames fitted with wheels. To maximise the living space in the cabin you’ll notice it’s a sung fit inside the container with literally a few centimetres to spare on each side!
The mast also fits neatly between the two hulls and is secured on its own cradles.
Shipping in containers not only means everything is more secure, it also means that if the port arrival is still some distance from where you would like to commission and launch your boat, loading and transferring the containers by road transport is easily done and very cost efficient.
HY005 (pictured above during offloading) is safely in La Rochelle, France and albeit a very rainy day here, we are looking forward to brighter weather, rolling up the cockpit awnings and introducing the first HopYacht 'sur la mer en France'. You can step aboard this boat in the electric boat section of the show on the MV Yachting stand 1-6 October.
Hope to see you there, however if you are the other side of the Atlantic, we have a HopYacht 30 in Fort Lauderdale ready and waiting for you to test sail!
