Exploring the design features of the HopYacht 30 Catamaran

Prior to launching our first HopYacht we were keen to get a realistic feel for what life on board would be like. This short animation highlights HopYacht's unique design including living space all on one level and full standing headroom throughout.

The HopYacht 30 is an ideal yacht for charter holiday sailing, designed especially for couples and families with young children.

HopYacht co-founder Mary-Clare Tomes, draws an interesting parallel between what she enjoys about sailing a Hunter 19 one design keelboat and how this influenced some of the key design features of the HopYacht 30.

The 'Dhow' styled sail plan on HopYacht was developed through collaboration with Geoff Meek, design director of North Sails in Cape Town.
